In all honesty I wanted to do more, but sometimes I got caught up in the event itself as opposed to documenting it.
Clearly being a reporter or documentarian is not in my genes, but I did want to pass along at least a flavor of the event. Thanks for your donation and support!

Re: Tour to Tanglewood 2011 – Sunday

Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause. You did a great job letting people know all the stages of this fundraiser. Count me in for next year. Tamara

Re: Tour to Tanglewood 2010 – Saturday

You did a great job keeping everyone informed of your progress. I did 50 Sat and 40 Sunday with good friends. We had discussed the century but opted out due to the heat. We rode 88 about a month ago and the temp was around 92. Anything other than a short ride when the temp is over 90 is bad juju. Thanks for keeping a record and letting us know what you felt at different points during the ride. Enjoyed your report. Thinking about starting this weekend.

Think about it. No pressure. I know having a young one and already essentially doing the project, it might be an unnecessary doubling-up

Re: Photo Project

This sounds interesting. What you couldn't know is that I'm already doing this with my son for family and a few select friends who've asked to be on the list. I call it the POTD for Picture of the Day. I don't actually do it every single day, but close. I've not missed more than 2 days in a row since he was born 6 months ago.

The idea of shooting something additional though intrigues me. Nevertheless, I'll have to think about it for a bit. Being a full time dad and doing the Rowan POTD is already a larger commitment than I expected. Have you started already?

Re: Photo Project

Works for me! I probably should put something in my calendar so I'm reminded to take a photo. I even had to make a regular weekly "appointment" to take the trash out on Monday nights. Ahhh, getting old is such fun!

Re: Photo Project

I guess I was thinking this weekend. Saturday kind of appeals to me. I've got a nice DSLR and a kick-ass set of lenses that I rarely use, as well as a Canon PowerShot that I carry around with me most everywhere I go. So, sure, I'd join you! When were you thinking about starting?

Re: Dorian Clashman

Marcella, I am sorry for your loss.

Re: Tour to Tanglewood 2009 Sunday

Loved reading your posts, Brian! You did an awesome job and should be so proud of yourself! I know I am proud of you and the rest of the Polo team! One of these days, I'll try that . . . before I get TOO old and decrepit! LOL! Have a good one! See you at work!

Ciao!
Janzee

Re: Tour to Tanglewood 2009 Saturday

Chris,
Thanks for the comment. Hope you enjoyed the event. I think trying to get together for a team photo would be a great idea. Somehow we never did manage to get the full group together at the same time. I think that's the main thing I'd like to organize a little better next year.

I was hoping to take more pictures than I did, but I think the rain kind of put a damper on me wanting to fumble around with the camera.

Re: Tour to Tanglewood 2009 Saturday

Brian,

Good update and nice pics. This was my first time TTT. I was happy to be part of Team Polo. Sorry I was late for the team pic. Maybe we can get together for a quick one this week. The bikeshop guru in Manhattan sold me Kevlar tires and told me proudly he'd never seen one go flat. Wasn't sure I believed that, but 3000+ miles later on my 2nd set with no flats.

But when I DO get one. I'll probably be trying to hail a cab or getting on the subway sadly.

Re: Rites of Spring ride

I bet your road bike would be just fine.
