Think about it. No pressure. I know having a young one and already essentially doing the project, it might be an unnecessary doubling-up

This sounds interesting. What you couldn't know is that I'm already doing this with my son for family and a few select friends who've asked to be on the list. I call it the POTD for Picture of the Day. I don't actually do it every single day, but close. I've not missed more than 2 days in a row since he was born 6 months ago.

The idea of shooting something additional though intrigues me. Nevertheless, I'll have to think about it for a bit. Being a full time dad and doing the Rowan POTD is already a larger commitment than I expected. Have you started already?

Works for me! I probably should put something in my calendar so I'm reminded to take a photo. I even had to make a regular weekly "appointment" to take the trash out on Monday nights. Ahhh, getting old is such fun!

I've been thinking about doing Project 365 as well. I've got a nice DSLR and a kick-ass set of lenses that I rarely use, as well as a Canon PowerShot that I carry around with me most everywhere I go. So, sure, I'd join you! When were you thinking about starting?

Thanks for the comment. Hope you enjoyed the event. I think trying to get together for a team photo would be a great idea. Somehow we never did manage to get the full group together at the same time. I think that's the main thing I'd like to organize a little better next year.

I was hoping to take more pictures than I did, but I think the rain kind of put a damper on me wanting to fumble around with the camera.

You know I've never learned how to do the road side repair and I haven't ever had to oddly. The bikeshop guru in Manhattan sold me Kevlar tires and told me proudly he'd never seen one go flat. Wasn't sure I believed that, but 3000+ miles later on my 2nd set with no flats.

But when I DO get one. I'll probably be trying to hail a cab or getting on the subway sadly.

I have always hated coming home in the winter & it already is dark. Now I can get home with several hours to accomplish something...or nothing at all if I like. I can just sit outdoors & enjoy the evening!

Awesome review, Brian! I have seen the movie twice, and I agree that Boyle does a fantastic job of carrying us through the story.

I'm also not ashamed to say that I was even happily amused and impressed at the end of the movie with the Bollywood-style dance in the train station. I had heard a story on NPR about how they filmed it, so I was also interested in seeing it after hearing the technical challenges they overcame to make it happen.

I guess I've known Sophie since 1991 or so. I always enjoyed her company and even petsitting with her and watching movies back in the old days. She reminded me of the siamese cat I grew up with who was the most loving, smart and strange animal I ever knew. Sophie was a lot of fun. She will be missed.
